over the hill: an off-road outing with a source check pending
Editorial basis (draft)
Our October 24, 2026 session notes put over the hill in the 21:04–21:25 BRT slot. We're still checking that the footage really is this game: the replay and highlight show a navigation terminal and visual effects that don't match what the Steam page describes. Until that's confirmed, treat what follows as provisional. We don't have a checked transcript yet.
What the Steam page says
Funselektor Labs Inc. develops and publishes over the hill, an exploration-focused driving game with 1960s–1980s 4x4 vehicles. Steam advertises solo journeys or online co-op with up to three friends, using equipment such as winches and planks to overcome terrain.
What the footage shows
The highlight shows a red pickup moving across uneven ground in a misty woodland. It also shows a close view of equipment in the truck bed, a navigation map and intense coloured distortion. In an earlier Replay frame, 21-07-38 at 00:05, a tutorial discusses estimating position from radio towers and using landmarks.
We haven't confirmed which game this footage is from, so we're not crediting the radio triangulation, the terminal or those effects to over the hill yet. We also haven't verified Conrado's reaction, any objectives he completed or how the slot ended.
What we still need to check
Route choice, rough terrain and recovery gear give off-road fans a reason to look at it. Whether steering, traction and recovery hold up in Conrado's session has to wait until the footage is confirmed.
The open question is the interface in the footage, which doesn't match the store description. Until we know which game it is, we're not calling it a strength or a weakness.
Who it is for, and availability
Going by the store page, it's for players interested in exploring trails and solving terrain problems together. Steam lists the game as released on October 14, 2026. We link only to the main store page.
