Editorial basis

This is not a play session. Nobody at Venn has played Crop for this page, and there is no Conrado clip behind it. The read comes from the Steam store page, checked on November 4, 2026, from the studio site, and from 11 bit studios' publishing announcement. A clip from Indie Game Joe is one reason the game reached us. The post is his. The notes below are ours. The game is still upcoming, so published critic scores are not part of this read.

What the game is

Crop is a single-player game from Carbonara Games, published by 11 bit studios. Steam app 3645050 lists it as coming soon, with a planned release in 2027 and no day or month on that date. As of November 4, the store page was not listing a price, and it was not listing a demo. The platforms field is Windows. macOS and Linux are not listed.

Steam's short description calls it a gritty farming thriller where your safety depends on the yield. The about text, which this page is paraphrasing, pairs methodical high-stakes farming with an investigative thriller. You are bound to a dying farm, feeding a village that has been cut off and is starving. The work named on the page is digging trenches, running pumps, and repairing equipment, with pests, storms, and scarecrows in the way. The questions set next to that work are who brought you here, and who is watching at dusk. We are reporting that pitch. We have not played it.

Steam's genres are Adventure and Simulation. The feature list is single-player, full controller support, and Family Sharing. DualShock and DualSense are the controllers named on the page. Interface and subtitles are listed for English, French, German, Spanish - Spain, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese - Brazil, Russian, Simplified Chinese, and Norwegian. Steam does not claim a full-audio language. The mature-content note lists scary scenes, realistic violence, blood, and crude language. The website field on the Steam page is empty.

carbonara.games places the studio in Oslo, Norway, and says the team is three people, and that Carbonara itself is new. 11 bit's announcement calls Crop a three-person indie project from Norway, in development at Carbonara Games, and says 11 bit is taking the publishing. Crop is the title those two pages attach to the studio.

The Steam stills are a farm, a village, and a desk. They are store screenshots. They are not a session of ours. The first is a high angle over a muddy plot. A player in blue overalls pushes a red wheelbarrow of cut greenery along a plank laid over the water. An irrigation trench cuts the field. Leafy crops and cabbages sit in the beds. Tools stand in the dirt, including a rake. A grave with a wooden cross is in the mid-ground. The UI reads Tues. Day 8, 12:59 pm, with prompts for Push, Reverse / Let go, and Unload. The second is a foggy village at a T-junction. A shopfront reads "Oak & Scissors Hair Salon." A church steeple shows through the mist, with cliffs behind the houses. A blood trail runs along the asphalt. The same blue overalls stand at the bottom of the frame. The third is indoors, at a reception desk. The dialogue names Greta, and the line on screen is "I wonder why no help is coming..." A rotary phone, mail cubbies, and a deer head on the wood wall are in the room. The UI reads Wednesday, day 2, 1:41 pm. The fourth is the farm again, in rain. A figure in a hooded raincoat is bent over an irrigation channel, and the prompt reads Clear clog. A lantern is lit. The UI reads Tuesday, day 15, 9:50 am, and an umbrella icon sits in the status column. Across these four shots the day counter moves from 2 to 8 to 15. That is as far as the stills go.

What the clip is reacting to

Indie Game Joe posted a short clip on November 3, 2026, in the evening BRT. As of an API read on November 4, 2026, around 09:32 BRT, it stood at about 5,900 impressions, about 143 likes, about 30 bookmarks, about 6 reposts, about 2 quotes, and about 6 replies. Those counts move. We are not embedding the video, and we are not restating his caption.

What the store page is offering, which is the public object a clip like that has to work with, is methodical farming under a day counter, with a grave in the plot, a blood trail in a foggy village, and a desk where someone is asking why help has not come. The planned release is 2027. No demo is listed. We have not played it, so this page does not grade the farming, the dread, or how the two sit together.

Our take

Wishlist it if you want methodical farming with slow-burn investigative dread. That is a reading of the store page and of a clip that reached us, not a session. We have not played it.

The 2027 date is Steam's planned release, with no day or month. On November 4 the page was still marked coming soon, it still had no price, and it still had no demo. 11 bit studios is publishing a three-person studio in Oslo. Carbonara describes that studio as new, and Crop is the game on its site. If the trenches, the day counter, and the village that does not look safe are the part you want, the wishlist is what is actually up.
