Spend action points to deploy pieces. Units act by Speed. Destroy the enemy flag before they destroy yours. Stack traits (up to two), relics, and rumors. Use the Gallows to pass traits. Meta-build the Garrison between runs.

Differentiator

Easy to learn, deep to master, with board-game readability. Closest sibling energy on this shelf to the Slay the Spire conversation, with a different piece and the same strategic hunger. Early Access since February 2026 with Very Positive Steam reception.

Caveat

Commander balance and higher Ordeals are still being tuned in EA (about 6–12 months planned). Some compositions can feel lopsided until more commanders and content land.

Why we opened this capsule

X pointed us at the project while we were already studying party and composition deckbuilders. Flag loss, trait sacrifice, and dark fantasy fog map cleanly onto design talks we care about for Rogue Reigns without cloning STS.
