From July 24 to 26, we took Rogue Reigns, Paradoxical and Dark Island: Faded Memories to Retrocon 2026, at Transamerica Expo Center in São Paulo.

Retrocon calls itself the biggest retrogaming event in Brazil. It started in 2023, made by fans for fans, and this was its fourth edition. It's organized by WarpZone, A Casa do Videogame and Mr. Games.

The floor had arcades, classic consoles, tournaments and stages. It also had an area for independent studios, where visitors could play Brazilian games and talk to the people who make them. Our booth had all three of our games, running on CRT TVs to match the event.

More than 13,000 people came to Retrocon over the three days.

A special visit

A Slay the Spire cosplayer came by with Akihito (@ya.kihito), Brazil's celebrated Hideo Kojima look-alike. Then the cosplayer sat down to play Rogue Reigns. Slay the Spire is the game that inspired it.

When the game that inspired ours plays ours.

Thank you to the Retrocon team, and to everyone who stopped by our booth to play.
